Metal Clay Silver

Metal Clay Silver is available in a few forms: clay, paste, syringe and even paper. It is made up of recycled silver particles, non-toxic binder and water. They can be shaped into the required form, dried, refined and sintered into the final product which is 99.9% pure silver. From an engineering point of view, it is none other than the powder metallurgy method, scaled down from an industrial level such that it can be applied for making jewellery in the comfort of our own homes.

Once the technique of handling the metal clay is mastered, other items such as gemstones, glass, pearls can be set either during the forming or after the sintering process. Mixed media can also be incorporated into the design to make the jewellery piece more interesting.
